Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for day shifts, requiring a NJ or compact RN license and BLS certification. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital Operating Room setting - Handles a wide range of surgical procedures including bariatrics, vascular, neuro, ortho, robotics, general, eye, and urology - Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience preferred but not required - Day shifts are 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM - Scrubs are provided by the facility - First-time travelers are accepted for this position - No travel pairs or groups allowed - Up to 3 days of requested time off may be approved; no time off permitted during the first week of orientation - Modules are completed onsite during orientation and are recorded via transcripts - Return-to-work eligibility is restricted for recent former staff - Orientation covers facility operations and required processes Requirements - Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration - Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred - Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience required - Must demonstrate experience with general and specialized OR procedures as listed - Experience with Epic documentation preferred - Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility - Former perm staff must have at least 1 year since previous employment at the facility Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-666804.
