Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. A school district in Danbury, CT is seeking three
Special Education Teachers to join their team on a contract basis
from ASAP through May 22, 2026. These onsite positions offer
part-time hours, ranging from 30 to 32.5 hours per week, serving
diverse student populations within the special education programs.
The available roles include: Elementary Resource Special Education
Teacher Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher Middle
School Resource Special Education Teacher Responsibilities: Develop
and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to
each student's unique needs. Deliver specialized instruction to
students in resource and self-contained classroom settings.
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and
families to support student success. Monitor and document student
progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed. Maintain
compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications: Valid Connecticut Educator Certification with a
Special Education endorsement. Experience working with elementary
or middle school students in special education settings. Strong
classroom management and communication skills. Ability to create an
inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth.
