A notable Nonprofit Organization is seeking a Total Awards
Specialist to join their team in Manhattan on a hybrid work model
schedule.
Description
This role is a key part of the Total Rewards team and works on
cross-function initiatives with health and welfare benefits
management
Manages all daily administrative responsibility of 401 (k)
planning, deferral updates, payroll, funding, HRIS maintenance,
beneficiary updates, etc
Explains and communicates retirement benefit plan policies,
procedures and legal requirements to new hires and all eligible
employees
Conducts retirement and benefits-related calculations and
reporting
The Total Rewards Specialist will be responsible for strategic
planning to attract, motivate, and retain top talent through
competitive compensation and benefits, as well as wellness
initiatives
Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to
compensation Performs other related work as required
Profile
Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university in business
administration, human resources or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of human resources experience, including
experience in retirement plans, compensation, HR systems and data
analytic; or equivalent combination of education and/or
experience
Knowledge of laws, rules and regulations governing employment,
compensation, benefit and other HR programs
General knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures within all
HR disciplines
Advanced Excel and HR systems aptitude required
Exceptional attention to detail
Mathematical skills and strong attention to detail; proven accuracy
with data and numbers
Knowledge of common competitive pay bench marking practices and
resources
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Effective verbal and written communication skills
